The Second Annual Santa Fe Independent Film Festival
Santa Fe Independent Film Fest screens the best independent films from all over the globe. Become a part of the fastest growing film fest in the southwest in a city known for great cinema.

More than a million people visit Santa Fe Each Year. Santa Fe became the first U.S. city to be chosen by UNESCO as a Creative City, one of only nine in the world. According to the New Mexico Film Commission, production companies have spent more than $486 million in the past seven years creating 370,000 work days for local film employees and a financial impact of nearly $1.5 billion.

Underground cinema, art films, innovative and experimental work, guerilla projects, and controversial films screened over six days in the heart of historic downtown Santa Fe. Underground cinema describes films out of the mainstream in terms of Financing, Genre, or Style. The term "independent" has been co-opted by major studios and in the tradition of the very successful Melbourne, Chicago, and New York Underground Festivals Santa Fe IFF intends to showcase the best underground and truly independent films from all over the world. To date we have received submissions from Budapest, South Korea, Germany, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Iceland, China, Argentina, Switzerland, Navajo Nation, and Japan.

Santa Fe IFF special events and public screenings offer new and intimate ways for film professionals to connect with industry insiders and local and international talent.

- In 2009, over 25 screenings of films, discussions with filmmakers, Red-carpet event and awards ceremony over 3 days. (Following a submission window of only thirty days.)
- In 2010 Santa Fe Independent Film Festival will show 100 films over six days of events, parties, and discussions.
- Narratives, documentaries, shorts, and animated film submissions are all accepted
- Radio, Television, Print Press and Internet coverage
- 2009 included over 300 attendees
- Special Events include: Red Carpet, Discussions with film professionals, After- hours parties at the hottest spots in Downtown Santa Fe, and many more
